Pavilion Gardens hold a Civil Wedding Licence, which permits civil ceremonies, marriages and partnerships to be performed in our three licenced venues. The three areas available are all as unique as each other, and offer a beautiful surrounding for your wedding.

We also offer drinks receptions, canapés, miniature train rides and ice cream karts to make your day special and unique.

The Don Redfern Memorial Bandstand

The bandstand is an exceptional outdoor civil ceremony space nestled in 35 acres of the Victorian landscaped public park. The river Wye flows behind the bandstand and through the park, which also boasts a variety of wildlife. The area is one of a kind in its area and offers an alfresco style service.  Seating up to 65 guests or 90 standing and has its own power supply which allows music to be played throughout the ceremony.

The Victorian Winter Garden Conservatory

The conservatory offers a beautiful backdrop of colourful exotic plants and is maintained on a regular basis by our own horticulturist. It is a truly individual location which offers a bespoke feel to your wedding. The area holds up to 35 seated guests or 90 standing.

No need to hire flowers to decorate your space, the conservatory speaks for itself.

The Octagon Hall

The concert hall, now known as the Octagon, was originally designed by architect Robert Rippon Duke and was opened in 1875.  The Grade II listed building is one of the largest 8 sided buildings in Europe.  The grandeur of the Octagon is difficult to appreciate until you experience it and therefore we highly recommend viewing it for yourself.  Holding up to 1200 guests standing and 1000 seated, the space could be used to host both a civil ceremony and evening reception all under one roof.
