Roath Park opened in 1894 and has welcomed and entertained generations of families and visitors. Today it is Cardiff’s most popular public park and yet it still retains its classic Victorian atmosphere and layout. Following the Nant Fawr stream, the site has at its heart the 30 acre Roath Park Lake which is a popular facility for boating and Recreation.
The park has a regular large visitor base; footfall was estimated at 2 million park visitors a year in 2015 and it's easy to see why. With its stunning views, range of family attractions and vibrant ecosystem of plant and animal life there really is something for everyone here.
It is now one of Cardiff’s Green Flag Parks and one of Cardiff’s most beloved visitor attractions
